Many CPMA members take part in the annual Weekend to End Breast Cancer, which is held on various weekends in cities across Canada.  Podiatrists provide foot care screening and treatment for participants in the 60 kilometre walks. November – Diabetes Month

November is National Diabetes Month, a time when the public is encouraged to learn more about diabetes and the risks associated with the disease. As diabetes can often be detected first in the feet, many podiatrists get involved in increasing awareness about diabetes during this month.
