From the Daily Telegraph news article:

CAROLINE McCulloch’s job is about helping people put their best foot forward.

Her background as a podiatrist and physiotherapist set the foundation for her new career as a footwear designer creating shoes with “body mechanics in mind for women to feel comfortable and confident in”.

McCulloch, helped by her podiatrist husband Alan, says it was a natural progression to launch her label FRANKiE4 (named after her fox terrier Frank), a fashionable and functional orthopedic/podiatrist footwear range.

She says the turning point in her new career as a footwear designer was when a patient almost cried when shown the current range of comfort shoes.

“Despite my health professional background, I’ve always had a love of fashion. When treating patients, it was difficult to refer them to comfort footwear styles I wouldn’t want to wear myself — it felt hypocritical,” McCulloch says.
